Meet BJ Wiest. BJ Wiest joins the Mitchell branch as VP Business Banker, bringing with him 17 years of experience in the banking industry. A Mobridge native, BJ began his career as a consumer lender in his hometown before expanding his expertise in Aberdeen and Groton. Over the years, he has built a strong background in both commercial and consumer lending, along with valuable experience in branch management. 

BJ is a graduate of Northern State University and the Dakota School of Banking. His professional journey has been marked by a passion for building lasting relationships with customers and helping them achieve their financial goals. He thrives on being a trusted partner to clients and finds great satisfaction in contributing to their success and the growth of the communities he serves. 

BJ's commitment to community runs deep. He previously served as President of the Mobridge Chamber of Commerce and was active with the Mobridge Tourism Committee and Park Board. He is excited to bring that same level of involvement and enthusiasm to the Mitchell community.

Outside of work, BJ enjoys spending time with his wife Stacy, their daughter Tessa, and their dog Rip. He's a fan of sports, appreciates a good home improvement project, and values time spent with family.
