Meet Jesse Carlson. Jesse began working in banking during high school in Faulkton, a career path that continued through his college years. During that time he interned over the course of two summers to learn and experience the functions of every department within a community bank, which allowed him to identify his area of interest. After graduating in 2020 from South Dakota State University, Jesse continued to help build and launch the Treasury Management department at a local institution, supporting 16 branches across North and South Dakota and working closely with clients and internal teams. During that time, he also received his master's degree from Northern State University. 

Jesse's areas of expertise include working with public fund entities such as schools, counties and cities, as well as tribal communities and large businesses. Throughout his career, he has helped strengthen foundation markets by retaining existing portfolios and identifying new client relationships in expanding markets. One his favorite aspects of his job is the opportunity to educate and support members of the community. Whether he is answering questions, providing fraud education to elderly populations, or working with children and young adults, he finds the greatest fulfillment in helping his neighbors navigate their financial needs and celebrate important milestone moments. 

Jesse is involved in the Chamber of Commerce and the Young Professional Network (YPN), as well as SDSU's Foundation and Alumni Association, where he currently serves as the Sioux Falls Area Jacks chapter President. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, biking, and spending time at the lake with family and friends.
