Meet Chris Wagner. Chris has worked in the financial services industry for over a decade, most recently as Market President. His experience also includes working as a Credit Analyst and a Business Banker. From those positions, Chris learned the importance of team building, goal setting, and strategic planning, as well as a thorough understanding of the numerous departments of banking and their day-to-day operations. He has lead teams of ag, retail, and business bankers alike, so knows the inner workings of the markets we serve at across South Dakota.

Chris's extensive knowledge in those markets makes him an excellent fit to lead retail banking efforts at Plains Commerce. He is committed to offering our customers quality services while maintaining a team of trustworthy and professional bankers.

Originally from Brookings, Chris attended SDSU where majored in Business Economics and played football, eventually earning the opportunity to become a priority free agent with the Oakland Raiders. He and his wife now live on an acreage where they spend time with their daughter and twin sons. Chris enjoys golfing, hunting, and assisting his wife in raising and training barrel-racing horses.
